Konsult Komal and Coop Talks India Partner to Support Cooperative Sector Reform

New Delhi, Mar 05:  Konsult Komal and Coop Talks India have entered into a strategic partnership to support India’s cooperative sector through collaborative policy research, knowledge initiatives, capacity building, and institutional communication strengthening. The collaboration brings together Konsult Komal’s policy research and advisory expertise with Coop Talks India’s dedicated cooperative media and knowledge platform.

India has one of the world’s largest cooperative ecosystems, with over 8.44 lakh cooperatives and more than 30 crore members, playing a significant role across rural credit, agriculture, dairy, and housing. As knowledge partners, Konsult Komal and Coop Talks India will work with cooperative institutions, federations, and apex bodies to support informed policy discourse and evolving governance needs.

Under the partnership, Konsult Komal and Coop Talks India will co-develop policy briefs, discussion papers, and knowledge outputs on key issues shaping cooperative development. These outputs will support evidence-based understanding and strengthen informed policy discourse across the sector.

The partnership is timely as the cooperative ecosystem continues to evolve through recent institutional and policy developments, including the creation of the Ministry of Cooperation in 2021 and the release of the National Cooperation Policy 2025.

In addition, the collaboration will jointly convene webinars, workshops, and structured dialogues focused on cooperative policy and governance. Emphasis will be placed on policy interpretation and implementation readiness, enabling cooperative institutions to strengthen governance practices and enhance operational effectiveness in line with emerging sector priorities.

Recognising the growing importance of digital engagement and institutional outreach, the partnership will support cooperative institutions through strategic communication and digital capacity-building initiatives. This will include training programmes for cooperative officials on social media usage, stakeholder communication, and institutional outreach to strengthen visibility, transparency, and engagement with members and key stakeholders

Commenting on the partnership, Komal Gupta, Founder and Principal Consultant, Konsult Komal, said, “As India advances toward Viksit Bharat 2047, institution building will matter as much as infrastructure. This partnership will focus on strengthening cooperative institutions through credible policy work, sharper sector dialogue, and practical governance frameworks that enable transparency, professionalism, and sustainable impact.”

Sanjay Verma, Founder and Editor, Coop Talks India, added, “Coop Talks India has always focused on meaningful sector dialogue and knowledge sharing. This partnership with Konsult Komal will help strengthen cooperative conversations with policy-backed insights and practical capacity building, aligned with the sector’s modernisation priorities and the vision of Sahkar se Samriddhi.”

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to building a more informed, responsive, and future-ready cooperative sector through structured knowledge creation, collaborative dialogue, and strengthened institutional communication.
