Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital Organises Women’s Health Awareness Session on International Women’s Day

Noida, Mar 09: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Sector 110, Noida organised a health awareness programme focused on women’s health and child development. During the session, medical experts shared important insights on preventive healthcare for women and highlighted the role of mothers in building a healthy future.

Marking International Women’s Day, the hospital also launched the ‘Stri Arogyam Pink Card’, an initiative aimed at encouraging women to undergo regular health check-ups and increasing awareness about women’s health.

The event featured expert talks by Dr. Pragati Jain, Senior Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Dr. Roli Munshi, Senior Consultant – Pediatrics & Neonatology.

Speaking on the topic “Women’s Health at Every Stage – From Adolescence to Motherhood and Beyond,” Dr. Pragati Jain, Senior Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Yatharth Hospital Noida 110 Unit, highlighted the importance of early awareness, proper nutrition and regular health check-ups.

She said, “In clinical practice today, we are seeing clear shifts in women’s health concerns across different age groups. Among adolescent girls, issues such as irregular periods, painful menstruation and anemia are quite common, often due to lack of awareness about menstrual hygiene. In women between 20 and 30 years of age, conditions such as PCOS, menstrual irregularities, thyroid disorders and fertility-related concerns are increasing, largely influenced by sedentary lifestyles, stress and unhealthy dietary habits. In fact, nearly one out of every three young women visiting the OPD shows symptoms related to PCOS or hormonal imbalance. Among women above the age of 40, problems such as fibroids, heavy bleeding and perimenopausal symptoms are frequently reported. Compared to a decade ago, many hormonal and reproductive health concerns are now appearing at a younger age, which makes awareness, regular screening and healthy lifestyle habits extremely important.”

She further added, “Women often remain so busy caring for their families that they tend to neglect their own health. Regular screening and timely medical consultation are essential for maintaining a healthy life.”

On this occasion, Dr. Roli Munshi, Senior Consultant – Pediatrics & Neonatology, Yatharth Hospital Noida 110 Unit, shared her insights on the topic “Healthy Start for Every Child – Role of Mothers in Child Growth and Immunity.” She emphasised the importance of breastfeeding, balanced nutrition and timely vaccination for children.

She said, “The early years of a child’s life play a crucial role in building strong immunity and ensuring healthy development.”

The interactive session proved to be highly informative for the participants, who had the opportunity to engage directly with doctors and gain valuable insights on preventive healthcare.
