New Delhi, Aug 24: Air passenger service prices recorded a significant increase in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, rising 31.94% year-on-year, according to the latest Service Producer Price Index released on Monday.
The Air Passenger Service Price Index increased to 126.4 in Q1 FY27, compared with 106.9 in the previous quarter. It was the highest annual increase among the seven service categories currently covered by the index.
The latest figures provide an early indication of price movements among service providers. The Service PPI is released every quarter and currently covers seven selected services, so it does not represent price trends across the entire services sector.
