Driven by enterprise demand, We Work India adds 700,000 sq. ft. across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai

Mumbai, April 10: WeWork India Management Limited, one of the country’s leading premium flexible workspace operators, today announced the signing of five large-scale, long-term lease agreements across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, totaling over 700,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office space.

Marking one of the company’s largest expansions to date, this milestone reinforces WeWork India’s leadership in South India and strengthens its position as a preferred partner for enterprise occupiers and institutional landlords. The company currently operates 37 centres across the region, reflecting its scale in some of India’s fastest-growing office markets.

The five new centres—WeWork Embassy TechVillage 8C, WeWork Vista Earth Centre, and WeWork Infinix Palladium in Bengaluru; WeWork Phoenix H10 in Hyderabad; and WeWork Embassy Splendid in Chennai will collectively add approximately 12,000 desks to the company’s portfolio. These partnerships are structured as long-term commitments ranging from 10 to 20 years, signaling confidence in sustained demand and the sector’s evolution toward stable, partnership-led growth models.

The expansion is being delivered in collaboration with leading landlords, including Embassy Office Parks, Madhu Ventures & Vista Spaces, Inspira Builders, and Phoenix Group Hyderabad. By partnering across cities and micro-markets, WeWork India is enabling asset owners to future-proof their developments with high-quality workspace solutions while offering enterprises a consistent, design-led experience.

Commenting on the expansion, Karan Virwani, Managing Director & CEO, WeWork India, said,

“The South is not just a regional story; it is central to India’s next phase of enterprise growth. Bengaluru remains one of the world’s most dynamic technology markets, Hyderabad is scaling at an exceptional pace, and Chennai is emerging as a key hub for global delivery and financial services. This expansion reflects our conviction in these markets and our ability to execute at scale.”

South India continues to anchor India’s office market momentum, with Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai accounting for nearly half of the country’s gross leasing activity, according to JLL. This demand is driven by the rapid expansion of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), technology firms, and multinational corporations increasingly adopting flexible workspace strategies.

Strategically located in high-demand commercial hubs, the new centres offer strong connectivity, premium infrastructure, and access to established social ecosystems. Designed within Grade A developments, these workspaces cater to enterprises and high-growth companies seeking flexible, future-ready office solutions.

In Bengaluru, the company will expand across key micro-markets such as Outer Ring Road and Whitefield. In Hyderabad, the new centre is positioned within the prominent HITEC City corridor, while in Chennai, the addition strengthens premium workspace offerings along Radial Road.

With operations spanning eight cities, over 1.21 lakh desks, and a strong enterprise-led member base of nearly 74%, WeWork India continues to empower businesses—from startups to Fortune 500 companies—with agile, scalable, and design-led workspace solutions tailored for the future of work.
