Noida, Jan 13: Ofis Square, in collaboration with Ragas Jamming Studio, hosted an evocative community-led musical evening titled Mehfil-e-Shaam: Roots & Rhythm at the cafeteria of Ofis Square Tower, Noida Sector 3. Designed as a soulful New Year celebration, the event brought together members of the Ofis Square community and invited guests for an immersive experience rooted in Sufi traditions and Bollywood-inspired melodies.
Conceived as an intimate cultural gathering, Mehfil-e-Shaam moved beyond the format of a conventional live concert. The evening created a reflective, welcoming space where music flowed effortlessly alongside conversation, encouraging connection, introspection, and shared moments. With soft lighting, close seating, and a thoughtfully curated programme, the setting allowed attendees to engage deeply with the performers and the stories behind the music.
The Roots & Rhythm theme anchored the evening, weaving together the spiritual depth of Sufi music with the familiarity of Bollywood compositions. The live jamming session featured an accomplished ensemble of artists, including Yaman Beni, known for his Bollywood vocals; JD and Rajeev, who brought a rich blend of Sufi and Bollywood influences; Maddy on drums; and Yash on electric guitar. Their collaborative performance created a dynamic yet meditative soundscape that resonated strongly with the audience, prompting spontaneous participation and heartfelt applause throughout the evening.
A defining aspect of the event was its community-first approach. Mehfil-e-Shaam was a passion-led initiative, conceptualized and organized by Tarang Arora and Akash Choudhary, with participating artists coming together to showcase their music.
