Public Advisory on Banking Services During Proposed Bank Strike

The State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Kerala, advises customers across the State to plan their banking transactions in advance and make maximum use of digital and alternate banking channels during the proposed nationwide bank strike from 28 Sep 2026 to 30 Sep 2026.

All the public sector banks in the state have been advised to take all necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted availability of digital banking services and adequate cash replenishment in ATMs. Customers are encouraged to complete urgent branch-based transactions before the strike period to avoid inconvenience.

Customers may conveniently access banking services through:

  • UPI and QR-based payments
  • Mobile Banking and Internet Banking
  • ATMs and Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs)
  • Debit and Credit Cards
  • Point of Sale (PoS) terminals
  • Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS)
  • Business Correspondents (BCs) and Customer Service Points (CSPs)

Customers requiring cash withdrawals, deposits, remittances, bill payments, government-related transactions, loan repayments, or other essential banking services are requested to plan their requirements in advance.

Customers are encouraged to utilize digital channels for their banking needs during the strike period.

SLBC Kerala, in coordination with member banks, Reserve Bank of India, Government authorities, and district-level banking institutions, is closely monitoring preparedness to minimize disruption and ensure continuity of essential banking services.

Customers are requested to follow updates issued by their respective banks through official websites, mobile applications, SMS alerts, and social media platforms.
