Mumbai, Aug 4: Bittu Boss, Pro Govinda League mascot, made its first appearance in Mumbai seeking blessings at the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple, along with with Purvesh Sarnaik and the League administration team.
Preparations for the upcoming Pro Govinda League Season 4 began with an auspicious note at the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple in Dadar where prayers were offered by the League team, President Purvesh Sarnaik and mascot Bittu Boss. This was the first appearance of Bittu Boss, the fearless leopard League mascot. Bittu boss represents strength, courage and an unstoppable spirit.
“Bittu Boss is much more than just the league’s mascot. It holds deep personal and emotional significance,” said Purvesh Sarnaik. “A few years ago, we had adopted a young leopard at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park and called him ‘Bittu Boss’. Following the leopard’s untimely demise a few days ago, the official mascot has been created in its memory as a heartfelt tribute.”
The three-day sporting extravaganza takes inspiration from our age-old tradition of Dahi Handi. The League will be streamed live on JioHotstar for the first time. This marks a significant milestone for Maharashtra’s Dahi Handi tradition, giving the sport a national and global digital platform. Audiences from across India and around the world will now be able to witness the excitement of the competition live.
Scheduled in August, the Pro Govinda League Season 4 is expected to be the league’s biggest and most exciting edition yet, further strengthening PGL S4’s position as the fastest growing culture-turned-sport-turned-professional league.
